By Invitation Only

Our wedding is fast approaching (just over two months!), and we still don’t have invitations. Excuse me while I take a deep breath…

This is the one item I am the most clueless about. Somehow I thought that I could just hand this task over to my little sister, who is designing them for us, and go with whatever she came up with. Clearly not. We have to come up with a brief first… and I need some education on invitations, fast!

The Internet is a marvelous source of information. I have “aaah”ed, “ooooh”ed and “euw”ed my way through a myriad of digital representations of (mostly) paper manifestations. Am I closer to a decision? No. But I have a better idea of what I like! I hope…

Here are some of the more interesting ensembles:

1. Fascinating folding & pocket for RSVP card, etc.

2.  Stylish, elongated, modern roses

OSV-KGL-O

3. Flip style using silver ring

BLU-LLC-Q

4. Rounded edges, reminds me of my moleskine

OUT-GIV-W

5. Bizarre

OSV-BPF-I

6. Like a library card… I like the pocket idea

OSV-FXR-G

7. Folding, pockets

OSV-GND-J

8. Decadent, letterpress (Our Wedding Plus: “Letterpress is done using metal type and custom engraved plates and is pressed into thick paper leaving an impression.”)

OSV-OLH-T

9. “Green” grow-a-note seed embedded paper (trendy…)

10. Digital, potentially embarrassing, a keepsake forEVER (see original post here)
